Hardford AB has a head office, development laboratory and production facility in Linköping, as well as sales offices in both Linköping and Malmö. Our own factory is well equipped and capable of filling, packaging and manufacturing skin care, hair care and body care products. Hardford is also a complete partner for customers wishing to outsource their logistics and warehousing.

Besides Hardford AB, the operating arm, the group includes the holding companies Hardford Holding AB and Hardford Sweden AB. The latter provides certain groupwide administrative services.

History

1988

Kent Widding Persson starts the company Hardford & Schtoff.

1991

The company becomes an agent for American cosmetics company Pavion.

1992

The first custom range of cosmetics, known as a private brand, is developed.

1995

The Evoke range of cosmetics is launched, winning a design award at the World Expo in Bologna.

1996

The company becomes a Scandinavian market leader in the coloured cosmetics segment.

1998

The legendary personal care ranges LdB, Jane Hellen, Naturelle and PR After Sport are acquired with the help of Atle Företagskapital/Kompanjonfonden. The subsidiary Jane Hellen AB is formed.

1999

The hair care range www.rufs.com is launched in the Swedish retail trade. The website grows rapidly, becoming one of the top ten leisure sites in Sweden.

2000

Salubrin, the classic medicine cabinet in a bottle, becomes part of the company’s brand portfolio. Production unit Intergraze AB in Gothenburg is acquired.

2001

The company enters the oral hygiene segment with the acquisition of the classic Vademecum. A further acquisition takes place when manufacturing unit Tekniska Fabriken Gripen in Linköping becomes part of the company. The company takes on new brands – Miramar, Dialon, Jukon and Proteen – as a result of this deal. The company changes its name to Hardford AB.

2002

The classic anti-dandruff shampoo Enden is acquired.

2005

The company undergoes a major change in its ownership when Kent Widding-Persson buys back the shares held by Atle Företagskapital/Kompanjonfonden since 1998.

2010

The LdB brand is sold to Cederroth.

2013

Johan Ståhl is appointed as CEO.

2015

The brand Gripen is acquired.
Folowing brands are sold to Henkel; Be your MOOD, Vademecum, Enden, Miramar, Jane Hellen and Naturelle.
